Have a fun event with author, Rosina Rothman! She will read her book, Sally the Shark, answer questions and leave behind coloring pages and bookmarks for the children to take home.
Rosina has had the pleasure of visiting several schools with kids of various ages. Some are as young as two and as old as fourth grade. Here is an example of how her author visits are conducted per age group:
5 and Under:

Rosina enthusiastically reads Sally and then asks the children about friendship, kindness and giving others a chance with questions pertaining to the book.
6 and Up:

Rosina reads Sally and then tells the children about how she made the book such as showing her mock-up designs, telling them about her inspiration for the story and demonstrating how they can turn their ideas into books as well. She takes Q&A about the story and the process of creating it while encouraging them that anything is possible!

Author Readings with Rosina Rothman
Encino Parents Nursery School was very fortunate to have Rosina Rothman visit our school for story time. Rosina read Sally the Shark to our preschoolers and they were engaged and delighted. Our school now has a copy in our borrowing library, and as soon as one child brings it back, it gets checked out again. The coloring book is also a big hit.
As an educator I find the book to be fanciful and charming. The illustrations are colorful and the text is child-friendly and unique. This book is destined to have a prominent place on our display shelf for years to come.
